Salento Homes began as a collection of properties managed by the Elia family — people who have lived and breathed this land for generations. What started as hospitality became a passion for sharing Salento's hidden rhythms with curious travellers from around the world.
After 10 years in the hospitality industry, we designed a self-guided experience that feels effortless yet deeply authentic. Unlike point-to-point tours, our guests stay in the same property every night, returning to familiar comfort after each day's adventure.

A fixed-base cycling experience — stay in one place, explore everywhere, return home each evening.
The itinerary
Six days.
Infinite memories.
Each day you set off from the same base, explore a different corner of Salento, and return home in the evening. No luggage to move. No check-outs. Just the road ahead.
Station pickup in Lecce. Bike fitting at supplier. First ride through Lecce historic centre, WWF nature reserve Le Cesine and the medieval village of Acaya. Arrival at property in Borgagne.
Coastal ride from Borgagne to San Foca, Roca Vecchia and the Grotta della Poesia (prehistoric rock carvings), Torre dell’Orso. Return to Borgagne.
Loop from Borgagne through Martano, Melpignano and Corigliano d’Otranto — the Græcia Salentina, where an ancient Greek dialect is spoken. Optional visit to Corigliano castle. Return to Borgagne.
Loop around the Alimini Lakes nature reserve. Continue to Sant’Andrea and the wild Adriatic coast. Return to Borgagne.
Full day ride to Otranto — the easternmost city in Italy. Tour around the old town and the seafront. Return to Borgagne.
Breakfast at the property. Transfer to Lecce with bike return to supplier.
